The STRUCTURAL SEALENT GLAZING DOOR is a tailor-made creation imagined by the TECHNAL “Engineering Services” Design Department. Originally designed for an emblematic project in Dubai, the luxury “Address Sky Views” residence, the STRUCTURAL SEALENT GLAZING DOOR gives total transparency to the glass envelope of the buildings.

This tailor-made solution is remarkable for its glazed volumes fixed directly to the profiles by silicone. The aluminum mullions are invisible from the exterior. The smooth appearance of the opening sash maintains the continuity with the SSG curtain walls like the new SPINAL range Clamped Smooth Facade.
 

 

The special creation STRUCTURAL SEALENT GLAZING DOOR is based on the SOLEAL 65 DOOR model, and requires few structural transformations during fabrication by the TECHNAL client. The adaptation required specific development to reduce the visible structures and reinforce the elegance and uniformity of the lines. An asymmetric spine with offset transom adapts to the fixed glazing on one side and to the integration of the fixed door frame on the other. The exterior alignment of the glazed sections is totally respected.

A reduced-height fixed frame also minimizes the visible structures. A rebate reducer recreates a standard glass thickness capacity to guarantee the attachment of the glazing or panels located above the door. The resulting appearance is a 38 mm regular grooved bead, peripheral to the opening sash and evoking that of the 22 mm fixed parts.

 

The door retains its performance characteristics. It can achieve a Uw coefficient of 0,95 W/m².K with solar factors Sw of 0.41 and light transmission of TLw 0.54 (Ug = 0,5 - 1 leaf - W. 1,4 m x H. 3)
